RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Arling's major research interest focuses on applied research that will improve the effectiveness of health and long-term care for older people.  In recent studies he has applied multilevel modeling to issues of quality assessment, nursing resource use, organizational performance, and transitions between care settings.
