IU Center for Aging Research Focus

Within the broad area of aging, the research focus of the Indiana University Center for Aging Research is geriatric health services research. Specifically, our Center Scientists conduct investigations to test innovative strategies to improve the quality of health care and self-care for older adults.

Within the area of geriatric health services research, we have three highly integrated foci:

Across these foci, we are particularly interested in improving the care of older adults as provided by generalist physicians across the continuum of care. Patient self-management in the home, supported by primary care providers, is considered to be an integral part of this continuum.
